Hard-top Containers

Hard-top containers have a removable metal roof. Like the open-top container, they have a header that swings for easy loading and the roof locks down into place once the container is loaded. These are not very common.

Last week, CBS’s Sunday Morning had a story on one of Super Cubes’ favorite couples, Brie and Zack Smithey. They built an 8-container house out of used 40’ high cube containers they bought from Super Cubes. It was so wonderful to see container homes getting coverage in general, but the Smithey’s house is a a work of art. Literally. Zack is an artist and their home showcases much of his work. The couple worked with an architect to create a great floor plan, but added their fantastic taste to make each room a true masterpiece.
